Hands-on Integrative Chinese Medicine Vay-chee Cheng has been working with clients in health care for more than 25 years. Her work has evolved in that time, from working as a nurse in hospital and home health settings, to licensed massage therapy, and finally to her studies and practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Her assessment and diagnostic skills are rooted in her education and experience in both Western nursing and TCM.
In treatment, however, Vay-chee relies on the five time-tested tools of Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture/Moxibustion, Acupressure/Tui-na (TCM massage), Qi Gong (a gentle form of movement exercise), Chinese medicinal herbs and nutrition/whole food supplements. Such a balanced approach—acupressure and acupuncture for concentrated effect; dietary analysis, and exercises, to enhance health and vitality—is well suited and adaptable to treating clients of all ages, and for maintaining optimal health, resolving acute conditions in order to prevent chronic conditions.
Call on Vay-chee Cheng for the treatment of joint and muscle pain, both chronic and acute; headache; back pain; injury rehab; fatigue; digestive problems; menstrual pain and irregularity; menopause; and relaxation. Her work also lends itself to preventive strategies in maintaining and promoting wellness and a healthy lifestyle.
